RINGSEAL L19 is a rectangular gasket with a central 19 mm x 2 mm hole, made of a special hydroexpansive rubber that reacts on contact with water by increasing its original volume. Used in combination with a standard metal formwork tie for timber formwork ("blade" type), RINGSEAL L19 hermetically seals the discontinuities that could easily form in the concrete due to the presence of the tie; in many cases, these discontinuities could extend through the entire wall thickness, thereby seriously compromising the watertightness of the wall.
